I. Solution Background

Currently, market competition is increasingly fierce. Improving production efficiency and reducing operating costs are crucial for enterprises. Warehouse logistics management is widely used in various industries. Designing and establishing a complete set of warehouse management processes, improving warehouse turnover efficiency, reducing the occupation of operating funds, turning frozen assets into cash, and reducing costs caused by warehouse obsolescence are important aspects for enterprises to improve production efficiency.

II. Solution Objectives

2. 99% visualization of warehouse products, reducing the risk of missing goods;
3. Improved supply chain management will reduce work service time by 20-25%;
4. Improve accuracy and reliability of warehouse information;
5. Efficient and accurate data collection to improve operational efficiency;
6. Automatic data collection for inbound and outbound to reduce human errors;
7. Reduce enterprise warehousing and logistics costs.

III. System Overview
This solution is customized by Shanghai FineJoin by analyzing the enterprise's needs. It integrates RFID technology, network technology, computer technology, database technology, and wireless communication technology. Combining the actual needs of the company with FineJoin's rich experience and unique technology, we propose the following RFID system solution.

IV. System Design
The application solution for warehouse logistics management based on RFID technology mainly combines the characteristics of RFID technology with warehouse management processes, achieving more scientific and visual management in software.

1. Inbound Management
Deploy RFID fixed readers at the warehouse entrance, and perform RF planning according to the site environment. For example, four antennas can be installed up, down, left, and right to ensure RFID tags are not missed. After receiving the inbound order, the products are put into storage according to certain rules. When the RFID tag (UHF) enters the electromagnetic wave range of the RFID fixed reader, it is actively activated, and then the tag communicates with the reader. After collecting the RFID tags, the system compares them with the order to verify the quantity and model of goods. If there are errors or omissions, manual handling is performed. Finally, the goods are transported to the designated location and placed according to the rules. The main advantage of RFID in warehouse management is contactless long-distance identification and batch reading, improving efficiency and accuracy.

2. Outbound Management
According to the picking plan, outbound goods are sorted and managed. If the outbound quantity is large, the goods are pushed in batches to the warehouse entrance. The fixed reader communicates with the tags to collect the RFID tags of outbound goods, checking whether they match the plan. If there are errors, manual handling is done as soon as possible. For small quantities, RFID handheld terminals can be used to collect RFID tag information (handheld scanners or RFID tablets). When errors occur, an alarm will sound, and staff should handle them promptly. Finally, data is sent to the management center to update the database and complete the outbound process.

3. Inventory Management
According to warehouse management requirements, periodic and ad hoc inventory counts are carried out. Traditional inventory counting is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and prone to errors. RFID solves these problems. When an inventory plan is made, RFID handheld terminals are used to scan goods (clothing information). The data can be transmitted to the backend database via wireless network, compared with database information, and difference information is displayed in real time on the RFID handheld terminal for staff to verify. After the inventory is completed, the counted information is checked against the backend database. During the inventory process, the system uses RFID contactless reading (usually within 1-2 meters) to quickly and conveniently read clothing goods information. Compared with traditional methods, it greatly improves efficiency and accuracy.

4. Basic Information Management
Set and manage the attributes of goods. Main functions include adding, editing, deleting, and querying basic attributes of goods stored in the warehouse. This allows settings to be made according to the attributes of products operated by different enterprises, ensuring it meets the personalized needs of each enterprise. The warehouse can also be divided into locations, such as by warehouse, area, or shelf, enabling more precise management of large warehouses. Warehouse managers at all levels can query inventory information from different dimensions and perform related business operations.
5. System Information Management
Fully consider system scalability and security, providing reasonable tools to ensure system security. System management mainly completes calibration and maintenance of system operation parameters. It handles permission allocation, addition, modification, and deletion of data forms. It also has a complete login procedure (username and password). Different personnel are granted different permissions, set by the system administrator. The system also provides one-click data backup and recovery functions, further ensuring the security and continuity of business data.
6. Data Statistics and Analysis
The system can generate statistical reports based on time, quantity and other factors, clarifying turnover cycles and efficiency, facilitating planning and control of inventory management business processes. The system operation can speed up goods inbound and outbound, thereby increasing the throughput of the inventory center, providing managers and decision makers with timely and accurate inventory information, improving the accuracy of goods inquiries, reducing inventory levels, and improving logistics system efficiency to strengthen enterprise competitiveness.

V. Hardware Equipment Selection
The hardware part of a complete warehouse material inbound and outbound RFID management system usually consists of: fixed RFID readers, fixed RFID antennas, handheld RFID readers, desktop RFID encoders, and RFID tags. Additional equipment: computers, PC servers, switches, wireless routers, network cables, data signal cables, etc. (equipment optional). Different application environments can choose hardware products with different characteristics, allowing flexible deployment of RFID applications and providing easy integration and rich application support to maximize RFID business efficiency.

FAQ

In smart manufacturing, RFID is used for process tracking, tool management and production error-proofing. Fuen's HF and LF industrial readers are installed at production stations to read tags on trays and carriers in real time, automatically recording process steps and verifying parameters to prevent wrong material or sequence. Typical applications include PV ingot factory process management, automotive body tracking and non-standard automated inspection lines.
RFID enables automatic inbound registration, outbound verification and real-time inventory. Fuen's UHF readers with gate portals (G15) batch-read tags as goods pass through without individual scanning. Combined with forklift retrofit solutions, location updates are completed during handling. Fuen has successfully implemented forklift RFID retrofit projects for Shen International Logistics Port, improving inbound efficiency by over 60%.
RFID upgrades manual one-by-one verification to batch automatic inventory, significantly reducing missed inspection rates and labor costs. Fuen's mobile engineering vehicle tool management solution uses handheld terminals for full-vehicle inventory in one scan — 10 seconds versus 1 hour manually. In power grid asset lifecycle management, RFID tags attached to equipment enable full-process tracking from procurement to deployment to retirement.
RFID anti-counterfeiting uses encrypted electronic tags on products combined with backend databases for item-level full-chain traceability. Fuen's fragile anti-transfer tag (UT203) is destroyed once removed, preventing tag reuse. Typical applications include live pig supply chain tracing and pharmaceutical anti-counterfeiting systems, providing full visibility from production through distribution to end consumption.
RFID enables rapid receiving, smart inventory and anti-theft management in chain retail. Handheld terminals batch-scan inbound goods, completing full-store inventory in minutes. Fuen's clothing store solution combines HF tags and UHF handhelds for full-chain visibility from distribution center to store shelf, improving inventory accuracy to over 99%.
RFID in smart cities mainly applies to vehicle management and public safety. Fuen's intelligent vehicle positioning and speed measurement system uses active tags for long-range identification and speed detection; e-bike anti-theft solutions track tagged vehicles via intersection readers for rapid recovery; parking management enables non-stop passage and automatic billing. These solutions are deployed in multiple cities.
